Endangered Crafts
Exhibition showcasing endangered and extinct glass skills
Overview
Organised by Elena Fleury-Rojo, 'Endangered Crafts' is a major exhibition that will take place at Stourbridge Glass Museum and showcase glass skills that are endangered, critically endangered or extinct in the UK, as identified by the Heritage Crafts Red List.
The open call launches in the second week of January 2026, inviting makers who work in these at-risk techniques – from scientific glassblowing to neon making, copper-wheel engraving, stained glass and more – to submit work for consideration. The aim of the exhibition is to highlight the importance of preserving these traditional skills and celebrate the makers keeping them alive.
Visit the Contemporary Glass Society website in January to apply.
