Overview
Emily Smith (The Metalsmith) is delighted to be showing alongside fellow artist, Rosie Parmley, at Handmade Oxford once more. The two work at the same studios, and a few years ago, discovered that their work intersects in a number of ways, completely by coincidence. They shared a carefully curated, gallery-esque stand last year and are excited to put their ideas together to create something with an even bigger impact again this year.
Emily will be bringing a selection of her collections, all linked by one theme, that of humanity. Her work spans across a number of techniques and metals, but all come back to the single theme, and some of the many concepts under this umbrella. Each of her collections donates 10% to a relevant cause. She will also be demonstrating how she creates the little figures used in some of her pieces.
