To re-open the gallery after the lock-down period Jaggedart has invited all their gallery artists to make works on an A4 size media inspired by flowers and nature; presenting a show both on their premises and on-line.
Society Member Batool Showghi (Mixed Media) has been invited to show her work at the Jagged Art Gallery in London which is exhibiting works inspired by plants and nature.
This is the second time that Batool has exhibited her work at the Jagged Art Gallery. Last year, she showed some of her Artist’s Books and this year she has responded to the theme of this group exhibition - Re-Flourish by using five photographs.
Batool uses opaque layers to create an image to show the fragility of life and at the same time showing that death is part of regrowth. The final image is printed on transparency to convey better the multi layering and meaning of the work.
