One of the works that I will be showing is "Wind Map". This is a prototype to demonstrate the outcome of my research into incorporating Thermochromic Liquid Crystals (TLCs) within the design of architectural glass installations that can react to minor changes to the ambient temperature during the day.

The design derives from the meteorological charts showing isobars and the dynamically changing air pressure indicating the strength and direction of wind during the day.
As the temperature changes, the design will slowly change and the pattern appears to move very slowly and subtly.

Somerset Open Studios 2021 presents work from more than 300 artists, craftspeople and makers in over 200 studios and spaces across the county.
