Overview
Known for her textile representations of buildings, in this solo exhibition Hâf Weighton MSDC widens the scope of her work, with many pieces being large in scale and intricately stitched and layered to reflect the depth of meaning behind facades, brickwork and doorways.
“The fabric pieces within ‘High Street’ aren’t literal or geographically exact. They’re imagined spaces – intuitively pieced together from remembered shopfronts, everyday textures and real walks up and down the High Streets of Wales.
