New Online Course: Couture Camellias
SDC member Ksenia Semirova launches a new online course introducing beginners to Luneville embroidery through a project-based format focused on a camellia-inspired design.
Ksenia Semirova is a couture embroidery artist who blends heritage techniques with contemporary design. Designed with beginners in mind, the course offers a realistic, project-led introduction to Luneville embroidery, a traditional technique worked with a special hook on a frame. Participants will create a finished camellia-inspired composition using beads, sequins, and threads – suitable for use in fashion, accessories, or as standalone textile art.
What the course includes:
- Pre-recorded, step-by-step video lessons
- Downloadable PDF guides with a design template and materials list
- Project-based approach focused on creating a complete piece
- Access to a private community space with embroidery tips and supplier links
Until 30 April, participants can join Couture Camellias at a 20% discount (£60 instead of £72) using the code APRILSALE.
In addition, all April enrollees receive free access to Ksenia’s new Introduction to Luneville Embroidery course – developed in response to interest at the Stitch Festival – plus a one-hour online coaching session.
