Professional Development Award 2026
The Textile Society offers an annual award to professional practitioners within their chosen textile discipline, whether art, craft, design, curatorial, scientific or any other textile related field.
Applications are now open for the Professional Development Award of up to £2,000 which aims to support research, further development or realisation of an existing project. Evidence of well established practice is a prerequisite for applications.
The Society is looking for innovative projects that are viable and have vision whatever the nature of the individual discipline. The Textile Society is a charity and its awards and bursaries are a key feature of the organisation. The dissemination and sharing of the project’s outcome is encouraged – either through the annual publication, Text magazine, or with a presentation at the Annual Textile Society Conference.
Closing date for applications is 1 September 2026.
