Biography Back to top

Audrey has been working with textiles since graduating in 2003. She uses sources that catch her attention. Subject matter for the work is drawn from the environment we live in. Some of her early textile pieces were based on Aboriginal influences, Art Galleries and Museums in Sydney were most informative. Living near London Audrey has spent a lot of time in the City and along the Southbank, drawing and photographing the buildings. Audrey took on a journey of discovery when she visited Wisley the Headquarters of the Royal Horticultural Society. Plants, seed heads, ornamental grasses, flowers, glasshouses and a well stocked library, made this a rich source of inspiration. Audrey finds starting a new design exciting. She has used both very light and darker denser palettes separately to create her latest hangings.
