Biography Back to top

Born in Birmingham, with an East and South East Asian (ESEA) background, Cheyenne has a mix of cultural heritages, which is an intrinsic influence. This is reflected in her choice of colours, patterns and design of ceramic shapes.

Hand building using porcelain or porcelain stoneware, she focuses on form and decoration, combining techniques. This could be wax resist with underglazes, stencilling, drawing, laminating nerikomi pieces, melting glass frit, colouring clay or applying decals from her drawings. Cheyenne continuously experiments, to create her own ceramic form of expression, culminating in a diverse range of fine porcelain jewellery, ceramic vessels and wall sculptures.
