Biography Back to top

Leah is a Jewellery and Metal Design graduate from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee.

She crafts reimagined Sgian Dubhs and Quaichs informed by her personal experience of a modern, playful and authentic ‘Scottishness’. She created her ‘Tartan-ish’ collection to be tactile, fun and comfortable. Silver inlayed Sgian Dubhs are designed to catch the light at a ceilidh and Cup Quaichs are shaped to perfectly rest in the nook of the hand.

Leah brings together traditional handcraft techniques like silversmithing with contemporary digital techniques like 3D printing and CNC milling. Playing with both old and new in her designs and processes are at the core of her work.
