The Voice of Craft since 1887 promoting and supporting the work of creative thinkers, designers and makers who innovate through their exploration of materials and skills.
An annual award celebrating the legacy of one of Britain’s most prominent furniture designer-makers of the late 20th century (who was a Fellow of the Society). Formed as the Arts and Crafts Exhibition Society in 1887 with Walter Crane as the society's first President, the purpose was to give a voice to, and to organise exhibitions for the growing body of designer-makers.The first of these exhibitions was held at The New Gallery, Regent Street in October 1888.Learn more
