Wandering – Multi Media Exhibition
Alongside five fellow artists, Society member Harriet Ferris MSDC responds to the title ’Wandering’, exhibiting a variety of monochrome stoneware vessels finished with matt and gloss glazes.
Overview
Spindrift are a group of six Whitstable artists who felt the need to reconnect after the isolation of lockdown and got together at the beginning of 2022. Exhibiting together for the second year running, each artist responds individually to the title 'Wandering' with a wide range of disciplines from fine art and printmaking to ceramics, collage and assemblages.
Starting at Rochester in September last year, Harriet Ferris walked the North Downs Way to Folkestone and along the coast to Dover. Concentrating on light, shade and form her monochrome vessels reflect on this journey of wide open vistas, ancient woods and coastal paths scattered with WW2 remnants.
