Seeking our LSDC members opinions
The Society is inviting its LSDC members to join two focus groups, one in London and one in Manchester to discuss how our Mentoring Scheme may best serve our members. Places are offered on a first come first serve basis with £50 being paid towards expenses.
As you probably know, the Society of Designer Craftsmen has a mentoring scheme to help Members and Licentiates consider how they might develop their careers, and we are about to launch a new round soon. But, to make sure we offer the best possible programme, we would like consult you about your professional needs and what you would expect from mentoring. We would also be interested to hear, more generally, what you think about the Society and what it might be offering members in the future.
We are holding informal consultations in a few weeks’ time and we would like to invite you to take part. There will be one event in London and another in Manchester. Each will last 1½ to 2 hours and will be facilitated by SDC Members Marshall Colman and Tori McLean, who are members of Council. They will be friendly and fun events. Everyone who attends will be paid £50 expenses and there will be light refreshments. Space is very limited, so let us know soon if you would like to join us.
