The Alan Peters Furniture Award 2022
An annual award celebrating the legacy of one of Britain’s most prominent furniture designer-makers of the late 20th century (who was a Fellow of the Society). It aims to encourage talent in the craft of furniture design and making. Organised by Jeremy Broun, FSDC. Applications are now open and the entry deadline is 31st July 2022.
The
award is open to resident citizens of the
British Isles over
18. The first prize is a £1,000 tool
voucher from Axminster Tools, a second
prize of £500 timber voucher from English
Woodlands Timber Ltd and the third prize
a £300 judges prize. The
judges are Jeremy Broun (organiser),
Andrew Lawton (FSDC) and guest judge Freya
Whamond.
Following the success of the 2021 online award this year the 1st prize sponsor Axminster Tools will host the prize giving ceremony at their Nuneaton store where there will be an exhibition in September (TBA) of winning and other selected pieces.
