Exhibiting Opportunity: Designer Craft at Bankside (19 Nov - 1 Dec 2024)

The SDC Exhibition Team are delighted to confirm that we will be returning to exhibit at London's Bankside Gallery for two weeks from 19 November.

Designer Craft at Bankside is an outstanding opportunity for SDC members to exhibit their craft practice and raise profile under the Society’s umbrella. This exhibition follows two highly successful annual exhibitions: Transformations at Bankside Gallery in 2022 and Wonder at Oxmarket in 2023.

EXHIBITION DETAILS
Where:

  • Venue Bankside Gallery 48 Hopton Street, London SE1 9JB

When:

  • Exhibition Tuesday 19 November – Sunday 1 December
  • Delivery of Work Monday 18 November
  • Private View Tuesday 19 November & one other TBC
  • Collection of Work Sunday 1 & Monday 2 December

How:

  • Apply The simple application process will open in the next few weeks and requires images of a recent work (preferably unshown in London) and details about you and your process.
  • Cost If your application is successful the exhibition fee is £135 per exhibitor.
  • Commission is 25% on all sales or commissions taken at the show.
  • Curated The exhibition will be curated and installed by our experienced Exhibitions Team.

Why:

  • Visibility Situated on the Thames Path, not far from Tate Modern, Oxo and Hayward galleries, Bankside Gallery attracts over 100,000 visitors a year. SDC will be running an intensive social media marketing campaign in the lead up to the show, arranging two private views and a programme of talks and tours at the exhibition. These will focus on attracting sector professionals, funders and buyers to see your work.
  • Profile All exhibitors will be listed within exhibition documentation, profiled via our social media and links to your Makers Pages and contact details will accompany artworks.
  • Selling The exhibition takes place in the month before Christmas, offering the best possible opportunity to sell work to the gift and collector market.
  • Community The exhibition is a great opportunity to meet other Society members, explore other cross-disciplinary craft practice and volunteer to steward.
