New Designers Partner Prize: Outstanding Innovation in Craft & Design

SDC is delighted to welcome newest member and award winner Leah Faulks LSDC

We are delighted to introduce our newest member, metalworker Leah Faulks LSDC. Leah is the recipient of our partner prize for 'Outstanding Innovation in Craft and Design', part of our New Designers 2024 initiative and is a recent metalwork graduate from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design.

The prize, which includes free licentiate membership to SDC for two years as well as the opportunity to exhibit alongside SDC members at Bankside Gallery in November, was judged by SDC chair Kate Mason, council members Kayley Holderness FSDC, Naomi Jacques MSDC & Steve Wager FSDC.

Leah said 'I am thrilled to have been selected for the award for Outstanding Innovation in Craft and Design by the Society of Designer Craftsmen. I am passionate about innovation through the combination of contemporary digital technologies with traditional heritage crafts. The chance to join and learn from this community of makers will be hugely influential in developing my silversmithing and woodwork at the start of my career.'
