Theo Moorman Award

Contemporary tapestry weaver Margaret Jones, who has organised the Heallreaf exhibitions since 2015, is delighted to announce she has received a Theo Moorman Grant.

The grants are made to individual weavers to help maintain a high standard of work and through this promote weaving as an art form.

Margaret intends to use the award to fund studio time to further her exploration into weaving small format tapestries. As well as curating Heallreaf, a biennial exhibition which attracts entries from all over the world, she is working with the King’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts developing a new beginners and improvers weaving course to be delivered in October/November this year.
