Jeremy Broun publishing
Seasoned woodworking author and Society Fellow Jeremy Broun whose Encyclopedia of Woodworking Techniques won a ‘Top 200 Books’ award in 1993 (re-published in 2018) has recently branched out to design and publish his own hardback books.
The Diana Springall Collection at the Sunbury Embroidery Gallery
The Sunbury Gallery have selected and hung a small exhibition of pieces from the personal collection of Society Fellow Diana Springall. The work displayed can be viewed until 20 September 2020 and is a small part of the entire Collection to be housed in the new extended Embroidery Gallery. This nationally important collection of the art of contemporary embroidery has been accumulated by Diana Springall over six decades.
'Into The Light'
As the UK opens up in the wake of lockdown, the Society of Designer Craftsmen is pleased to present ‘Into The Light’, a celebratory exhibition at Chichester’s historic Oxmarket Gallery, bringing together exciting work from over 30 artists working in contemporary crafts including textiles, ceramics, glass, wood, paper, silver and jewellery.
MSDC member awarded full Fellowship of the Society
The Society would like to congratulate Joseph Bray (Furniture & Boxes) on being awarded Fellowship in early 2020 for his commitment to Craft, promotion of the Crafts and for the standard of his work.
