About Claudia
Claudia has been fusing glass for over 20 years and works from her studio in Frant, East Sussex. Her practice explores light, colour and form through the transformative medium of glass. Rooted in nature and expressed through semi-abstract composition, every piece - sculpture, wall artwork or statement bowl - is carefully designed to bring depth, atmosphere and energy into a space. Our natural world remains a constant influence. Rather than literal representation, she seeks to capture essence - the elemental patterns of nature, the energy of growth, the quiet strength found in organic forms.

Growing up as an only child, Claudia developed a strong inner world - observant, reflective and imaginative. Although she discovered art early in life, it was later, after a decade in the corporate world, that she returned to creative expression with clarity and conviction. She discovered glass fusing, and the material immediately resonated. The interplay of heat, colour and transparency offered something she had been searching for: movement, luminosity and layered depth.

Glass is both structured and fluid. It demands precision, yet allows transformation. This balance mirrors her own journey, from a corporate career to creative freedom.

Glass is also a medium of endless possibility, and Claudia delights in exploring its creative potential. By experimenting with firing temperatures and using sheet glass, powders, frits, enamels, metal inclusions, and a variety of casting and printing techniques, she continually refines her practice, discovering new effects and developing distinctive designs.

Nature remains a constant influence. Trees, shifting light, landscape and travel inform the rhythm and palette of her work. From wall art and statement pieces to splashbacks and installations, each piece is designed with intention, created to energise, uplift and bring luminous presence into modern interiors.

At its core, Claudia's practice is about transformation - of material, of space, and of feeling.
