Biography Back to top

Vivienne trained at Camberwell College of Art in the 1970's in ceramics and silversmithing, with drawing a strong influence throughout the course. She divides her time between lecturing part-time at West Herts College and working in her studio in Barnet.

Vivienne's ceramics are hand made, thrown and turned on a wheel and slab built. Fired to 1260C in an electric kiln finished with satin glazes in white, black, grey and turquoise, often with accents of re-cycled glass.

Vivienne's influences come from her love of the sea, swimming, and being outside with nature, and sketching. She tends a large garden and two allotments. The produce of which complements her ceramics perfectly.
