Shelley Morrow MSDC

Stitched & Constructed Textiles

About Shelley
Shelley is predominantly a figurative artist specialising in hand embroidery. Her drawings often focus on gesture, the movement and energy of a models pose, drawing quickly and capturing the whole. Some of these drawings are then translated into intricate hand stitched embroideries often taking many months to complete. More recent work has included political references to the garment industry and the damaging effects of fast fashion.

She co-founded ‘Draw’ in 2011, which runs drawing classes in Brighton and drawing events across the south east of England.
