Glenys Davies is a textile artist working with a range of media and materials. She is currently exploring the use of contemporary and modern quilting techniques to produce wall-hangings, vessels, and functional bed and lap quilts.

Now retired from a career in research and science writing, Glenys Davies works mainly in stitched textiles. Her work includes various experimental wall-hangings as well as a range of functional quilts made for family members and selected charities. Glenys is also developing an ongoing series of collage and book-related projects. Current interests include the use of colour to evoke an emotional response and the role of texture and materials other than quilting cotton in quilt works. She is a member of both the Contemporary Quilt and Modern Quilting specialist groups of the Quilter's Guild.
